mi chiamo Decima, sono il tuo quartiere. Sono il posto dove ci incontriamo ogni giorno quando esci o torni a casa dal lavoro, o quando porti i tuoi bambini a fare un giro, oppure quando vai a fare una passeggiata con le amiche allo Stardust, o quando vai a fare la spesa nei tanti supermercati del Torrino. Io il Torrino l’ ho visto crescere, non c’era prima, c’eravamo solo io e te e tutto ruotava intorno a queste grandi case, dove gli schiamazzi dei bambini riempivano le strade e le chiacchiere e le voci dei bambini riempivano i muretti e la piazza. Te la ricordi la piazza? Ora non c’e’ più quella di una volta, quella ce l’ hanno portata via insieme a tante altre cose; qualcuno sta cercando di riportarla in vita, come era una volta.
Li vedo sai? Ogni tanto cercano di scrollarmi di dosso troppi anni di incuria e disinteresse, ma io sono un quartiere grande e ci vorrebbero mille persone per prendersi cura di me.
Loro sono pochi, per ora, e quasi ogni settimana si incontrano.
Vogliono solo rendere il posto dove vivono un luogo migliore e dare un segnale che in questo paese forse è proprio partendo dalle piccole cose, dai piccoli gesti quotidiani di ognuno, dai nostri quartieri che le cose possono cambiare. Questi pazzi, hanno organizzato un sacco di cose lo scorso anno quando ho compiuto 50 anni, e quanto ci siamo divertiti! Ci siamo ricontrati, la piazza per un giorno è tornata a vivere e mi hanno addirittura dedicato un libro e un documentario…io, Decima per anni dimenticata e assopita, era di nuovo con loro, con VOI!
